What is the Spam Likely label?

"Spam Likely" is a warning shown on a recipient's phone when their carrier's call analytics flag the incoming number as probable spam. T-Mobile shows "Scam Likely", and other carriers and apps use similar wording.

The label is driven by the number's caller ID reputation, not by whether the business is legitimate. High daily volume from one number, many short or unanswered calls, and spam reports from recipients are typical triggers. Most people do not answer a labeled call, so a flagged number can cut answer rates sharply overnight.

To fix it, slow down or rest the number, register it with the carrier analytics providers, ask for a review where the provider offers one, and look at what caused it, usually list quality or call volume. The FCC's guidance on call blocking and labeling explains the consumer side, and our spam label self-check walks you through testing your number on AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile.
