Lead reactivation for home renovation companies

01
Quiet proposals
Homeowners who received a proposal and stopped answering hear from you again, and the agent asks what held the project back.
02
Season-pushed projects
A siding or exterior job put off until spring gets its call when the season turns, timed to the month the homeowner gave you.
03
Budget stalls
When money was the issue, the agent asks whether anything has changed and whether a phased scope or a financing conversation would help.
04
Second projects
Past customers who loved their new kitchen get asked about the bath, basement or windows they mentioned at the final walk-through.

Remodeling estimates rarely end in a no, they just go quiet
Every remodeler has a CRM full of estimates that never got a yes or a no. The homeowner had the design consultation, received a proposal for the kitchen or the siding, and then stopped returning calls. Some were waiting on a bonus or a home equity line. Some decided to wait out the winter. A few signed with a cheaper crew, and a few are simply busy. Your salespeople know there is real money sitting in that list, but their days go to fresh appointments, so the follow-up shrinks to one voicemail and a task nobody closes.
Past customers sit in the same blind spot. A family that finished a basement with you two years ago may now be thinking about the primary bath, and they would rather hire a crew they already trust. Nobody asks them. Meanwhile the marketing budget keeps buying new leads from strangers instead of calling homeowners who already let your designer measure the house. It is pipeline you have already paid for, and almost nobody is working it.
How the agent reopens a stalled remodeling project
You choose the list: estimates older than a set number of days, projects marked postponed, or completed jobs from a past season. Harmony.ai screens each record against your suppression rules and then calls. It opens with the homeowner's name, your company name and the project on file, for example the hall bath estimate from March, so the homeowner knows exactly why you are calling. Then it asks whether the project is still on the table and, if it is not, what got in the way: budget, timing, a change in plans or another contractor.
The answer decides the next step. If the homeowner is ready, the agent offers times from your designer's or salesperson's calendar for a revisit or an updated proposal. If the money was not there, it notes whether a smaller first phase or a talk with your financing partner might help, without quoting any terms. If they want to wait, it asks when to check back and schedules that follow-up. Anyone who asks not to be called again is flagged on the spot, and the record is updated before the call ends.
Why the job stalled, written back to every lead record
Each call updates the original lead or customer record in your CRM: reactivation outcome (reopened, postponed, lost or do not call), the stall reason in the homeowner's own words, a new appointment date and owner, a callback date for postponed projects, any change in scope or budget range, financing interest, and second-project interest for past customers along with the room or trade they mentioned. Transcripts and recordings attach to the same record. Integrations are built to your stack through APIs rather than picked from a fixed catalog.
Relationship windows and do-not-call requests on old lists
An estimate you gave last spring does not mean you can call that homeowner today. For Do Not Call purposes, an established business relationship lasts 18 months after a purchase or transaction but only three months after an inquiry or application, and it does not replace the written consent that artificial-voice telemarketing requires. A customer whose job you finished last year and a homeowner who asked for an estimate last spring are different cases. Your compliance team decides which records qualify, and the agent dials only those.
Homeowners can revoke consent by any reasonable means, including saying so mid-call, and the revocation has to be honored within a reasonable time of no more than ten business days. Company-specific do-not-call requests carry the same ten-business-day limit. The agent logs either request the moment it hears it and suppresses the number, and the call stays on record for audit. This is not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions
A good first list is proposals that were presented but never signed, plus projects the homeowner explicitly pushed to a later season. Your compliance team confirms which records can be called, and you decide how far back to go and how many attempts each lead gets. You can run a small batch first and listen to the calls before widening it.
The agent mentions the work you already did, asks whether anything else is on their list and books a consultation if there is. The answer goes back on the customer record whether or not they book, and only records your compliance team clears for calling are dialed.
The agent acknowledges it, ends the outreach and writes a do-not-call flag to the record during the call. That number is suppressed across future campaigns. The request is time-stamped in the call log, so your team can show when it was received and when it was honored.
It writes back directly. Stall reason, outcome, new appointment and callback dates land on the existing lead record through your CRM's API, with the transcript attached. We build that integration to your setup, so a rep opening the record sees the whole story before the revisit.
