Speed to lead for solar companies
Solar shoppers request quotes from several installers, and the first to get through usually books the consultation. Harmony.ai dials each paid lead in seconds, checks ownership, roof, shade and utility bill, and books the consultation or site survey.

A purchased lead posts from your vendor's feed, the agent checks its consent record and suppression lists, and the call goes out within seconds.

Owner or renter, roof age, shade from trees or neighboring houses, the utility and the average monthly bill, asked in your order and your words.

Solar leads go cold while the homeowner compares quotes
A solar lead costs real money, whether it comes from your own form, a paid social campaign or a lead vendor that may have sold the same homeowner to other installers. The homeowner filled in one form and is now waiting to see who calls. More often than not, the job goes to whoever dials first. If your setters are already on the phone, out at a kitchen table or done for the day, that lead sits untouched in the CRM while someone else books the consultation you paid for.
Volume makes it worse. A good weekend of ads can leave dozens of quote requests waiting on Monday morning, and evening leads arrive after the office has closed. Setters triage by gut feel, call the freshest names and leave yesterday's for later. Meanwhile renters, homes with a roof due for replacement and houses under heavy shade all get the same first call as the ideal prospect, so closers spend afternoons on consultations that were never going to sign.
From quote form to booked consultation in one call
The form submission or vendor post triggers the call in seconds, at any hour. Before dialing, Harmony.ai checks the consent record and your suppression lists, and holds the call if the homeowner's local time falls outside the window you set. When the homeowner picks up, the agent opens with your approved greeting, never claims to be human, confirms the address and asks what your setters ask: do they own the home, roughly how old the roof is, how much shade it gets, which utility serves them and what a typical bill runs.
It also asks about battery storage or backup power, then offers times from your live calendar for an in-home consultation, a virtual appointment or a site survey. Questions about financing, incentives or tax credits are noted for the consultant instead of answered on the call. If the homeowner wants a person, the agent warm-transfers to a setter with a summary, or books a callback when nobody is free. Homeowners who miss your bar are logged with the reason rather than dropped.
What lands in your CRM after every solar lead call
Harmony.ai writes the outcome back to Salesforce, HubSpot or whatever CRM your sales team already runs, so a closer opens the record and sees the full picture before the appointment. Each lead gets homeowner status, roof age, shading notes, utility and average monthly bill, battery interest, appointment type and time, disposition, the reason a lead was disqualified, and the recording and transcript. Harmony.ai connects through APIs, including the posts from your lead vendors, and we build each integration you need.
Consent and calling windows on purchased solar leads
The FCC ruled in February 2024 that AI-generated voices count as artificial voices under the TCPA. A telemarketing call placed by the agent therefore needs the homeowner's prior express written consent, whether the number is a cell phone or a residential line. On purchased leads, your compliance team decides which vendor consent language it accepts, and a lead without a usable consent record is never dialed.
Solicitation calls to residential numbers are limited to between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. at the homeowner's location, and numbers on the national Do Not Call registry are off limits. Some states layer their own rules on top, Florida's Telephone Solicitation Act among them. Counsel picks the windows and the state statutes that apply to each lead source. The agent holds to them on every dial, and each recorded call stays in the log for audit. This is not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions
Within seconds of the lead posting to your system. The agent checks the consent record and your suppression lists first, then dials. Homeowners who ask several installers for quotes tend to book with whoever reaches them first, so the call goes out while solar is still on their mind.
The details your closers want before they drive out: homeownership, roof age and condition, shading, utility provider, average monthly bill and interest in a battery. You set the criteria a homeowner must meet. Anyone who clears the bar is booked for a consultation or site survey, and anyone who doesn't is recorded with the specific reason, such as renting or a roof due for replacement.
Only with the right consent behind each lead. AI voices are treated as artificial voices under the TCPA, so telemarketing calls need prior express written consent, and your compliance team decides which vendor consent records qualify. The agent checks consent, DNC status and the local calling window before every dial. This is not legal advice.
The agent does not quote savings, system prices or incentive amounts, and it gives no tax advice. Those questions go to the consultant, who answers them with your approved disclosures. If the homeowner wants to talk now, the agent warm-transfers to your team with a call summary, or books a callback.
