What is a power dialer?
A power dialer calls one number per rep at a time and dials the next number on the list as soon as the previous call ends. It removes manual dialing without the pacing algorithm of a predictive dialer, so a person who answers always reaches a rep.
Because it never dials ahead of the rep, a power dialer does not create abandoned calls. The tradeoff is speed: the rep still waits through every ring, busy signal and voicemail, so talk time per hour stays lower than with predictive or parallel dialing. Power dialers suit small teams, high-value lists and calls where the rep reads notes before each dial.
Most power dialers add voicemail drop, local presence numbers and automatic logging of each call disposition to the CRM.
