AI lead qualification for BPO contact centers
Agents on client programs lose most of a shift to wrong numbers and poor fits. Harmony.ai takes the first pass on each client's outbound list and live-transfers only qualified prospects, with its own script, rules and dispositions per program.

01
First pass on lists
The agent dials each client's list, opens on that client's approved script and asks the questions that decide whether a prospect is worth a seat's time.
02
Live qualified transfers
Prospects who clear the client's criteria are warm-transferred to an available agent, with their answers and intent on screen before your agent says hello.
03
Per-client dispositions
Not interested, wrong number, callback, qualified: every outcome lands in the disposition codes that client's SOW and weekly reporting expect.
04
Bursts without new hires
When a client doubles a list for a seasonal push, the agent runs thousands of calls at once instead of you recruiting and ramping seats for a few weeks.

Why outbound programs burn seats on unqualified dials
A BPO running outbound qualification for a dozen clients lives on contact rate and transfer quality. Most of a shift goes to the part nobody bills well: voicemail, wrong numbers, people who filled out a form months ago and forgot, and prospects who fail the first qualifying question. Your agents sit through all of it before they reach the one conversation that becomes a transfer the client will accept. Every client wants a different script, different questions and a different definition of qualified, so supervisors spend the day moving agents between programs and retraining them on the fly.
Then list sizes change without warning. An insurance client drops a fresh batch ahead of a rate change, a home services client wants storm-season leads worked this week, and an education client needs enrollment inquiries called before the term deadline. Hiring and ramping agents for a three-week spike rarely pays back, and pushing the extra volume onto the existing floor drags handle time and quality scores down on every other program. B2B clients add their own wrinkle: longer discovery questions and a prospect who expects the caller to know the product.
How Harmony.ai pre-qualifies each client's list before a human picks up
Each client program gets its own agent configuration: the approved script, the qualifying questions, the knockout answers and the transfer criteria the client signed off on. Harmony.ai dials the list, opens as that program, asks the questions in order and answers the common objections with the responses the client approved. It never claims to be human, and it does not quote prices or terms the client hasn't put in the script. It runs on our own models, built for the phone, with responses under 200ms, so the prospect hears a normal conversation instead of a pause.
When a prospect clears the bar, the agent warm-transfers the live call to the right queue on your CCaaS platform, whether that is Genesys Cloud, NICE CXone, Five9, Amazon Connect, Talkdesk or Twilio Flex. The conversation summary, the answers and the reason for the transfer arrive with the call. With the whole floor busy, it books a callback in the window the prospect picked. Everyone else gets the right disposition and a retry under that client's cadence rules, and automated QA reviews every call, not a sample.
What lands in the client's CRM and your program reporting
Harmony.ai writes back into each client's own CRM, whether that is Salesforce, HubSpot or a system they built in-house, through an API integration we build per client. For every dial, the record gets the client-specific disposition code, the answer to each qualifying question, the consent source on file, the transfer time and receiving agent, any booked callback, and a link to the recording and full transcript. The same outcomes roll up by client program on your side, so the weekly client review starts from numbers both parties can audit.
Seller and telemarketer liability on outsourced qualification calls
Outsourcing a campaign does not outsource the risk. Under the Telemarketing Sales Rule both the seller and the telemarketer calling on its behalf can be liable, including for assisting and facilitating violations, and calls are limited to the hours of 8am to 9pm. The FCC has also held that sellers can be vicariously liable under the TCPA for calls that third-party telemarketers place for them. That is why clients audit your floor, and why the rule set has to travel with each program.
Telemarketing calls that use an artificial or prerecorded voice need the called party's prior express written consent, and since February 2024 the FCC counts AI-generated voices as artificial under the TCPA. Each client's consent records and calling windows are loaded into its program. The client's counsel and your compliance team decide those rules; the agent applies them to every dial and logs each recorded call for audit. This is not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. Every program runs on its own approved script, qualifying questions, transfer criteria and disposition codes, so an insurance campaign and a B2B software campaign never share a playbook. Changes are tested before they go live, and the agent sticks to the approved version on every call.
Your queues, routing and telephony stay put, because Harmony.ai runs on top of Genesys Cloud, NICE CXone, Five9, Amazon Connect, Talkdesk or Twilio Flex through their APIs. Qualified transfers land in the queue you choose. Outcomes are written back to the client's CRM through an integration we build for that program.
Both sides can be: the seller whose product is being pitched and the BPO placing the calls. That is why consent sources, calling windows and do-not-call lists are loaded per client and enforced by the agent on every dial, with recordings and logs either party can pull. Your counsel and the client's counsel decide the rules, and this is not legal advice.
A prospect who asks for a person is transferred live to an available agent with context attached, or gets a callback if the queue is full. Prospects who fail a knockout question are thanked and dispositioned, so your agents never spend seat time on them. Anyone who asks not to be called again is flagged so the request reaches the client's list.
