01
Abandoned checkouts
A shopper who reached the payment step and left gets a call while the tab is still open, and the agent picks up the order where it stopped.
02
Availability check hits
A passed address check with no order behind it triggers a call that confirms the plan and asks what held the shopper back.
03
Install slot held
The agent reads open install windows from your scheduling system and books one before the call ends, so the order leaves with a date.
04
Late-evening carts
A cart dropped after your calling window closes is queued and dialed when the window opens, ahead of whatever the sales queue holds.

The shopper who checked availability is still comparing tabs
Someone types their address into your availability checker, sees that gig fiber is offered at their door, picks a plan, and then stops at the install date or the payment page. Maybe the earliest slot looked too far out, maybe the price with equipment fees was not what the ad said, maybe dinner was ready. Whatever the reason, they have two other provider tabs open, and the one that reaches them first with a real answer usually gets the order. An abandoned-cart email two hours later arrives after that decision.
Telecom sales queues are not built for that speed. Inbound lines are busy with existing customers asking about bills and upgrades, the abandoned-order report gets worked in batches, and by the time a rep dials, the shopper has booked an install with someone else or moved on. Every one of those leads already passed the hardest test, a serviceable address, and your acquisition spend got them that far. Losing them at the last step to a slow callback is an expensive way to miss a sale you had nearly closed.
From abandoned order to booked install in one call
The moment your site or order system flags an abandoned checkout or an unconverted availability check, Harmony.ai places the call, in seconds and at any hour your rules allow. The agent says who is calling and why, confirms the service address, and reads back the plan the shopper picked. Then it asks what stopped them. If the install date was the issue, it looks for an earlier window. If it was price, it explains the plan, equipment and any promotion exactly as your approved script describes them.
Once the shopper is ready, the agent offers open install slots and books one on the call, confirms contact details, and sends the order summary by text or email if your flow supports it. Questions outside the script, such as a bundle change, a business account or a balance on an old account, go to a sales rep by warm transfer with the conversation attached. Our own models, built for the phone, keep response time under 200ms, so the callback sounds like a conversation and not a phone menu.
The recovered order, written back where your team works
Each call updates the lead or order record in your CRM and order system with the outcome: order recovered or not, plan and speed tier confirmed, install slot held, the reason the shopper stopped, any objection the agent could not answer, and the rep who took a transfer. The transcript and recording attach to that same lead. Harmony.ai has no fixed list of connectors; we build against your BSS/OSS, CRM and scheduling APIs so the order the shopper agreed to is the order your install team sees.
Consent and the broadband label on a callback that sells
A callback that pitches a plan is a telemarketing call, and an AI voice is an artificial voice under the TCPA after the FCC's 2024 ruling. For those calls, whether to a cell phone or a home line, the rule is prior express written consent from the person called. That makes the consent language on your availability checker and checkout page matter. Your counsel decides what qualifies and the agent skips any record without it, with a recording and log kept for each dial.
Closing the order by phone makes the call a point of sale under the FCC broadband label rule, so the label for the plan has to be available to the shopper. The agent names the label for the exact plan and can text a link to it before the shopper says yes. This is not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions
Most providers start with two: an availability check that passed with no order behind it, and a checkout abandoned after a plan was picked. Your website or order system sends the event and the agent dials in seconds. You can add other triggers later, like a chat session that ended without an order.
If your order system exposes the steps through an API, the agent can confirm the plan, book the install and complete the order on the call. Where a credit check or payment needs a person or a secure web step, it sends the link or warm-transfers to a rep with everything said so far. We build that integration to fit your stack.
For AI voice calls that market a plan, the TCPA's consent rules for artificial voices apply, so most providers collect written consent inside the checkout flow. Your counsel confirms what your language covers. The agent checks consent on every record before it dials and logs each call for audit.
The agent checks your scheduling system for earlier windows, including slots freed by cancellations since the shopper looked. If nothing earlier exists, it books the best available slot and flags the order for an earlier date if your scheduling rules allow it. The reason is logged, so you can see how often install lead time costs you orders.
