Speed to lead for auto dealerships
Shoppers submit to several stores at once and usually visit the one that calls first. Harmony.ai calls every website, OEM and marketplace lead in seconds, confirms the unit is still in stock and books the test drive.

OEM and marketplace leads
Leads routed from the manufacturer or a listing site get the same instant call, so the source never decides how fast a shopper hears back.
03
Stock unit confirmed
The agent checks the VIN or stock number against your inventory before promising anything, and offers close matches if the unit just sold.

Internet leads arrive at 10pm and the BDC starts at 9am
Internet leads do not keep business hours. A shopper scrolls listings after the kids are in bed, sends an availability request to three stores and keeps browsing. Leads from the OEM site and from marketplace listings arrive the same way, all day and all night, and on a Saturday the BDC is short-staffed while the showroom is full. Every lead that sits in the queue is a shopper reading another dealer's reply first, and by morning they may already have an appointment across town.
A stretched BDC triages by gut. Reps call the fresh website leads first and the marketplace leads get an email template. The calls that do happen often start with the wrong information, because nobody checked whether the silver one with the tow package is still on the lot or sold yesterday afternoon. A shopper who drives in for a car that is gone rarely stays for a different one, and a slow response turns into a trust problem.
From lead form to booked test drive in one call
When a lead lands in your CRM, Harmony.ai dials within seconds. It greets the shopper by name, references the vehicle they asked about and reads the VIN or stock number against inventory through your DMS integration. If the unit is available, it confirms trim and color and asks what your desk wants answered first: trade, timing, and how they plan to pay. If the unit sold, it says so and offers the closest matches in stock.
Ready shoppers book a test drive on the call, written straight to the consultant's calendar. While the store is open, the agent can warm-transfer a hot buyer to the floor or to a BDC rep and pass along everything said so far. It runs on our own models, built for the phone, and responds in under 200ms, so the shopper hears a natural conversation. A lead that comes in at 11:40pm waits for the first minute your calling window allows in the shopper's time zone.
What the BDC sees in the CRM before the shopper arrives
Each call writes back through the integration we build for your CRM and DMS, with VinSolutions, Tekion and Reynolds & Reynolds as examples. Harmony.ai connects to your CRM and DMS through their APIs, and we build that integration as part of setup. The lead record gets lead source, time to first call, connect outcome, the stock number confirmed or the alternatives offered, test drive date and assigned consultant, trade-in yes or no, payment preference, and whether the call was transferred live. The recording, transcript and a two-line summary sit on the same record.
Lead form consent and calling windows for instant dialing
Dialing seconds after a form fill does not change the consent rules. An artificial-voice telemarketing call needs the shopper's prior express written consent. In February 2024 the FCC ruled that AI-generated voices are artificial voices under the TCPA. That puts the consent language on your website, OEM and marketplace lead forms at the center of the program, and your counsel decides which sources qualify.
Telephone solicitations to residential subscribers may not go out before 8am or after 9pm at the called party's location, and not to numbers on the national Do Not Call registry. The agent dials by the recipient's time zone, holds calls outside the window you configure and runs DNC suppression before it dials. Every call is recorded and logged, so your compliance team can audit any lead from form fill to test drive. This is not legal advice.

Frequently asked questions
The agent checks the VIN or stock number against your inventory before it confirms anything. If the unit is gone, it tells the shopper plainly and offers the closest matches on the lot within the model and price range you set. The alternative they choose is written to the lead.
It does. Any source that posts into your CRM can trigger the call, so OEM-routed and marketplace leads get the same response time as your own site. The lead source is saved on the record, so you can see how each source turns into appointments.
Not until your calling window opens. TCPA rules bar telephone solicitations before 8am and after 9pm at the shopper's location, and your compliance team sets the window the agent follows. The lead is queued and called at the first allowed time, ahead of the morning rush.
During the hours you choose, the agent warm-transfers the live call to a consultant or BDC rep and passes along the vehicle, trade and timing. If nobody answers, it books the test drive instead and writes it to your CRM, so the shopper is never left hanging.
